I confess, I am a sucker for bamboo, and I don’t just mean bamboo shoots on my dinner plate or in my soup, but the gracefulness and gentleness of bamboo trees. I am forever fascinated by their gentle outlines, just like generations of Chinese artists have been. In the image above I tried to imitate the Chinese watercolor style, and I added a Japanese proverb on the “soft power” of bamboo. Hope you like it.
